Olufemi Sode has built his career around patient care, continued learning, leadership, and helping others advance within the nursing profession. With more than 17 years of nursing experience, he has worked across acute care, long-term care, community health, and home health, developing a well-rounded understanding of the different needs of patients, families, and healthcare teams.

His journey in healthcare began as a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA). From there, Olufemi became a Licensed Practical Nurse and continued advancing his education through an associate degree in nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. His commitment to professional growth continues today through graduate-level studies.

Each stage of his career has strengthened his understanding of patient care, communication, teamwork, and leadership. His experience has also reinforced the importance of meeting patients where they are and recognizing that effective care often requires adapting to each person’s individual circumstances.

A Focus on Home-Based Care

Throughout his career, Olufemi has gained experience in a variety of healthcare environments, but home-based care has had a particularly meaningful influence on his approach to nursing.

Providing care in a patient’s home offers a different perspective on their needs and daily life. Today, Olufemi serves as President, CEO, and Director of Nursing at Total Health Care Services, an organization providing nursing services in Florida and New Jersey.

His leadership role brings together the clinical and organizational sides of healthcare. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of a healthcare organization, Olufemi remains focused on patient care, staff development, training, and improving processes that support both patients and care teams.

His years of frontline nursing experience provide an important foundation for his leadership. He understands the challenges healthcare professionals encounter and the importance of creating systems that allow nurses and caregivers to perform their roles effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
